Joshua 18 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Joshua Chapter 18 Summary

The whole congregation assembles at Shiloh where they set up the tent of meeting, though seven tribes have not yet received their inheritance. Joshua challenges them for their delay and appoints three men per tribe to survey the remaining land in seven portions; they go throughout the land, describe it in a book, and return to Joshua at Shiloh. Casting lots before the LORD, Benjamin's territory falls between Judah and Joseph, from the Jordan at Jericho westward through the hill country to Kiriath-jearim, including Jerusalem and its surrounding cities.
