Jerusalem TempleThe Jerusalem Temple was the center of Israelite worship, built on Mount Moriah where Abraham nearly sacrificed Isaac. Solomon constructed the First Temple around 960 BC, which Babylon destroyed in 586 BC. The Second Temple was rebuilt after the exile and later expanded by Herod the Great into a magnificent complex. Jesus taught in its courts, cleansed it twice, and prophesied its destruction, which Rome fulfilled in AD 70. The temple represented God's presence among His people and prefigured Christ, the true temple.
JezreelJezreel was both a city and a fertile valley (also called the Valley of Megiddo or Armageddon). King Ahab had a palace here where Jezebel orchestrated Naboth's murder for his vineyard. Jehu killed Jezebel here, fulfilling Elijah's prophecy. The valley has been a battlefield throughout history and is associated with end-times prophecy.
Jordan RiverThe Jordan River is the most significant river in biblical history, flowing from Mount Hermon to the Dead Sea. The Israelites miraculously crossed it to enter the Promised Land under Joshua. Naaman was healed of leprosy by washing in its waters. Land of UzThe land of Uz was where Job lived. Its exact location is uncertain, but it was probably in the region east of the Jordan River, possibly in Edom or northern Arabia. Job is described as the greatest man among all the peoples of the East who lived in this land.
LehiLehi (meaning "jawbone") was a place where Samson killed a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey. Afterward, God provided water from a hollow place at Lehi when Samson was dying of thirst, calling the place En Hakkore ("spring of him who called").
