1The second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of the children of Simeon, family by family. Their inheritance lay inside the inheritance of the children of Judah.
2In their inheritance they had Beersheba, or Sheba, and Moladah,
3and Hazarshual, and Balah, and Azem,
4and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,
5and Ziklag, and Bethmarcaboth, and Hazarsusah,
6and Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteen cities with their villages.
7Also Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan: four cities with their villages.
8They also had all the villages around these cities as far as Baalathbeer, which is Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon, family by family.
9The inheritance of the children of Simeon was taken out of the portion of the children of Judah. The part given to the children of Judah was too large for them, so the children of Simeon received their inheritance inside Judah's inheritance.
10The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun, family by family. The border of their inheritance went as far as Sarid.
11Their border went up westward toward the sea, and to Maralah, and reached Dabbasheth, and reached the river that is in front of Jokneam.
12From Sarid it turned east, toward the sunrise, to the border of Chislothtabor. Then it went out to Daberath, and up to Japhia.
13From there it passed along on the east to Gittahhepher, and to Ittahkazin, and went out to Remmonmethoar, to Neah.
14The border went around it on the north side to Hannathon, and it ended at the valley of Jiphthahel.
15It included Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.
16This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun, family by family: these cities with their villages.
19and Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath,
20and Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez,
21and Remeth, and Engannim, and Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez.
22The border reached to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh, and it ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.
23This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar, family by family: the cities and their villages.
25Their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph,
26and Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal. It reached to Carmel on the west, and to Shihorlibnath.
27Then it turned toward the sunrise to Bethdagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthahel on the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and went out to Cabul on the left hand,
28and to Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, as far as great Zidon.
29Then the border turned to Ramah, and to the strong city of Tyre. The border turned to Hosah, and it ended at the sea, in the region of Achzib.
30It also had Ummah, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.
31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher, family by family: these cities with their villages.
32The sixth lot came out for the children of Naphtali, for the children of Naphtali, family by family.
33Their border ran from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakum, and it ended at the Jordan.
34Then the border turned west to Aznothtabor, and went out from there to Hukkok. It reached Zebulun on the south side, and Asher on the west side, and Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrise.
35The walled cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,
36and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,
37and Kedesh, and Edrei, and Enhazor,
38and Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh: nineteen cities with their villages.
39This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, family by family: the cities and their villages.
41The border of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Irshemesh,
42and Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jethlah,
43and Elon, and Thimnathah, and Ekron,
44and Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath,
45and Jehud, and Beneberak, and Gathrimmon,
46and Mejarkon, and Rakkon, with the border in front of Japho.
47The land of the children of Dan was too small for them. So the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem. They took it and struck it with the edge of the sword. They took it for their own and lived in it, and they called Leshem by the name Dan, after the name of Dan their father.
48This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan, family by family: these cities with their villages.
49When they had finished dividing the land into its parts for an inheritance, the children of Israel gave an inheritance among them to Joshua the son of Nun.
50As the LORD had said, they gave him the city he asked for, Timnathserah in mount Ephraim. He built up the city and lived in it.
51These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the tribes of the children of Israel divided by lot for an inheritance in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they finished dividing the land.
