The narrative alternates between Jesus' interrogation before Annas and then Caiaphas and Peter's three denials in the courtyard, fulfilled by the rooster's crow. Jesus is delivered to Pilate, who interrogates Him about kingship, hears that His kingdom is not of this world, engages the crowd in the Passover release custom, and ultimately yields to the demand for Barabbas while Jesus faces crucifixion.

Nazareth

It was a small, obscure village in ancient times, which led Nathanael to ask "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary here to announce she would give birth to the Son of God. Jesus was known as "Jesus of Nazareth" throughout his ministry.
The Temple
