Johanan and the proud men accuse Jeremiah of lying, claiming Baruch incited him against them. They take everyone, including Jeremiah and Baruch, to Tahpanhes in Egypt. There God commands Jeremiah to hide large stones at Pharaoh's house entrance, prophesying that Nebuchadnezzar will set his throne there, smite Egypt, burn temples, and break Heliopolis's obelisks.
