Nebuchadnezzar II was the most powerful king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire. He conquered Jerusalem, destroyed Solomon's Temple, and took the Jews into captivity. He built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. In the book of Daniel, God humbled him with madness until he acknowledged God's sovereignty.
