Jeremiah 36 - Summary

In Jehoiakim's fourth year, God commands Jeremiah to write all His words on a scroll. Baruch writes and reads it in the temple during a fast. Officials hear and report to the king. As the scroll is read to Jehoiakim, he cuts sections and burns them in the fire despite pleas to stop. God commands another scroll written, adding many similar words, and prophesies Jehoiakim's shameful end.
