Jeremiah 35 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Jeremiah Chapter 35 Summary

God sends Jeremiah to the Rechabites, descendants of Jonadab who commanded them never to drink wine, build houses, or plant vineyards. They obey their ancestor's commands. Jeremiah contrasts them with Judah: the Rechabites obeyed their father, but Judah refuses to obey God. Therefore disaster comes on Judah, but the Rechabites shall always have a man standing before God.
