When all the work Solomon made for the temple was finished, he brought in the dedicated things of David his father, placing the silver, gold, and vessels in the treasuries of the house of God. Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and the tribal and family heads to Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the covenant from the city of David, with the priests and Levites carrying the ark and the vessels of the tabernacle. The priests brought the ark into the Most Holy Place beneath the cherubim's wings, and when they withdrew and the musicians praised with one voice, the cloud of the Lord's glory filled the house so that the priests could not continue ministering, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
