2 Chronicles 19 - Summary

Original Summary

Read 2 Chronicles Chapter 19 Summary

Jehu son of Hanani the seer confronted Jehoshaphat upon his return, rebuking him for helping the wicked and loving those who hate the Lord, but acknowledging that good was found in him because he removed the Asherim and set his heart to seek God. Jehoshaphat dwelt in Jerusalem but went out among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, bringing them back to the Lord, and he appointed judges throughout the fortified cities of Judah. He charged them to judge not for man but for the Lord who is with them in judgment, warning them that there is no injustice, partiality, or bribery with the Lord, and established Amariah the chief priest over religious matters and Zebadiah over the king's affairs in Jerusalem, commanding them to act faithfully and with a whole heart.
