Original Summary

Read 2 Chronicles Chapter 1 Summary

Solomon established his kingdom and the Lord was with him, making him exceedingly great, after which he assembled Israel at the high place at Gibeon where the tabernacle of meeting and the bronze altar made by Bezalel stood. That night God appeared to Solomon offering to grant whatever he asked, and Solomon requested wisdom and knowledge to govern God's great people, a request that pleased God who also granted him unprecedented riches, wealth, and honor. The chapter concludes noting Solomon's accumulation of 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and his trading in horses from Egypt and chariots that were exported to the kings of the Hittites and Arameans.
