Read 2 Chronicles Chapter 3 Summary

Solomon began building the temple on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to David at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, in the fourth year of his reign, following the dimensions and pattern given by David. The temple was sixty cubits long and twenty cubits wide, with a vestibule twenty cubits wide and the interior overlaid with pure gold from Parvaim, decorated with precious stones and engraved with palm trees and chain designs. The Most Holy Place was overlaid with six hundred talents of fine gold, and two cherubim fifteen feet tall with combined wingspans of twenty cubits covered with gold stood within, along with the veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen, and the two pillars named Jachin and Boaz at the temple entrance.
