Sidon was an ancient Phoenician port city, often mentioned with its sister city Tyre. Queen Jezebel was a Sidonian princess. Jesus visited the region and healed the daughter of a Syrophoenician woman. Sidon was known for its skilled craftsmen and maritime trade. Paul stopped briefly in Sidon on his voyage to Rome.

Canaan was the Promised Land, the territory God promised to Abraham and his descendants. It stretched from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. The Israelites conquered Canaan under Joshua after the Exodus. The land was divided among the twelve tribes of Israel.

The Sea of Galilee, also known as Lake Tiberias or Lake Gennesaret, is a freshwater lake in Israel where much of Jesus' ministry took place. Jesus called his first disciples, fishermen Peter, Andrew, James, and John, from its shores. He performed many miracles here including walking on water, calming a storm, and the miraculous catch of fish. The Sermon on the Mount was delivered on a hillside overlooking this lake.

The wilderness refers to the desert regions of Sinai and Judea. Israel wandered here for 40 years after the Exodus. John the Baptist preached in the wilderness of Judea, and Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness for 40 days. It represents testing, preparation, and encounter with God.

Magdala was a fishing town on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. It was the hometown of Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus' most devoted followers who witnessed both His crucifixion and resurrection. The town was known for its fish processing and boat building.
