Jeremiah 2 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Jeremiah Chapter 2 Summary

God sends Jeremiah to proclaim in Jerusalem's ears how Israel followed Him in the wilderness like a bride, but then forsook Him for worthless idols. Israel committed two evils: forsaking God the fountain of living waters, and hewing broken cisterns. Even the wild donkey and leopard do not change, yet Israel has changed her glory for what cannot profit.
