2 Samuel 22 - Summary

Original Summary

Read 2 Samuel Chapter 22 Summary

David sings to the LORD on the day He delivers him from all enemies and from Saul—a song nearly identical to Psalm 18. The LORD is his rock, fortress, deliverer, shield, horn of salvation, stronghold, and refuge; in distress he calls and the LORD hears from His temple. The earth shakes, foundations tremble, smoke rises from God's nostrils, He rides on a cherub, flying on the wind, drawing David from many waters. The LORD rewards David according to his righteousness, cleanness, and faithfulness; with the merciful God shows mercy, with the blameless blamelessness, with the pure purity, with the crooked shrewdness. God lights David's lamp, enables him to leap walls and crush troops. The LORD lives; blessed be David's rock; the God who avenges, subdues peoples, and delivers from enemies.
