Revelation 11 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Revelation Chapter 11 Summary

John measures the temple and altar but excludes the outer court given to the nations who will trample the holy city forty-two months; two witnesses prophesy 1,260 days in sackcloth, with power over rain, waters, and plagues, until the beast from the abyss kills them. Their bodies lie in the great city's street for three and a half days while the world celebrates, then the breath of life enters them and they ascend to heaven in a cloud amid a great earthquake. The seventh trumpet proclaims that the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ, who shall reign forever, as heaven's temple opens revealing the ark of the covenant.
