Revelation 12 - Summary

A woman clothed with the sun, moon beneath her feet, crowned with twelve stars, cries out in labor as a great red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns waits to devour her child; she bears a male child destined to rule all nations, who is caught up to God's throne while she flees to the wilderness for 1,260 days. War erupts in heaven—Michael and his angels cast out the dragon, that ancient serpent called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—and heaven rejoices while woe is proclaimed to the earth. The dragon pursues the woman who is given eagle's wings to escape, then makes war on the rest of her offspring who keep God's commandments and hold the testimony of Jesus.
