Read Psalms Chapter 108

A song and psalm of David.

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

O God, my heart is steady. I will sing and give praise, yes, with all my glory.

Wake up, harp and lyre. I myself will wake up early.

I will praise you, O LORD, among the peoples. I will sing praises to you among the nations.

For your mercy is great, higher than the heavens, and your truth reaches to the clouds.

Be lifted high, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth,

so that those you love may be rescued. Save with your right hand, and answer me.

God has spoken in his holiness: "I will rejoice. I will divide up Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth."

Gilead is mine. Manasseh is mine. Ephraim is the helmet for my head. Judah is my lawgiver.

"Moab is my washing pot. Over Edom I will throw my shoe. Over Philistia I will shout in triumph."

Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?

Will you not do it, O God, you who have thrown us off? Will you not go out with our armies, O God?

Give us help against our trouble, for the help of man is worth nothing.

Through God we will do brave deeds, for he is the one who will trample down our enemies.
