Micah 2 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Micah Chapter 2 Summary

Woe is pronounced upon those who scheme evil on their beds and execute it at dawn because power is in their hands—coveting fields and seizing them, oppressing households and taking inheritances. The LORD devises corresponding evil against this family, from which they cannot remove their necks; their fields will be divided and they will have no one to cast the measuring line in the assembly. False prophets preach prosperity for payment while denouncing true prophecy, stripping garments from peaceful passersby and evicting women from pleasant homes. Yet hope emerges: the LORD will gather the remnant of Israel like sheep in Bozrah, with their King passing before them and the LORD at their head.
