Micah 3 - Summary

Micah directly confronts the rulers who should know justice but instead hate good, love evil, and cannibalize the people they should protect—tearing skin from flesh and flesh from bones, chopping them like meat for the pot. These rulers will cry to the LORD in their distress, but He will not answer since they have behaved wickedly. Prophets who lead the people astray cry 'Peace' when their mouths are fed but declare war against those who give them nothing—therefore they will have no vision, no divination, and will cover their lips in shame. Micah alone is filled with power by the LORD's Spirit to declare Jacob's transgression, for Jerusalem is built with blood and Zion will be plowed like a field.
