Jesus comforts His troubled disciples with the promise of many rooms in the Father's house where He goes to prepare a place and will return to receive them, declaring Himself the way, the truth, and the life through whom alone anyone comes to the Father. Philip's request to see the Father prompts Jesus' teaching that seeing Him is seeing the Father since He is in the Father and the Father in Him, speaking and working through Him. Jesus promises that believers will do greater works, answers to prayer in His name, and the coming of another Advocate, the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, who will teach them all things and bring to remembrance everything Jesus said.
