While Jeremiah is still confined, God promises to restore Jerusalem and Judah, heal them, reveal peace and truth, and forgive their sins. The Branch of Righteousness shall execute judgment. God's covenant with David and the Levites is as sure as His covenant with day and night. If heaven can be measured and earth's foundations searched out, only then will God cast off Israel.
