God sends Jeremiah to the potter's house, where he sees the potter rework a spoiled vessel. As clay in the potter's hand, so is Israel in God's hand. If a nation repents, God will relent; if they do evil, God will reconsider blessings. The people plot against Jeremiah's life. Jeremiah prays for their destruction.
