In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent with His great sword. Israel is God's vineyard that He guards night and day; He has not smote them as He smote their enemies. Jacob's sin will be atoned when altar stones are crushed like chalk; then God will thresh from the Euphrates to Egypt's brook, gathering His people one by one.
