Hosea 3 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Hosea Chapter 3 Summary

God commands Hosea to love again an adulterous woman (apparently Gomer), purchasing her for fifteen shekels of silver and barley as a living parable of God's persistent love for Israel despite her idolatry. As this woman must remain in isolation before full restoration, so Israel will live many days without king, prince, sacrifice, or sacred pillar—then afterward return to seek the LORD and David their king in the latter days.
