Joseph can no longer restrain himself and reveals his identity to his brothers, weeping loudly and assuring them that God sent him ahead to preserve life. He invites his family to settle in Goshen where he will provide for them during the remaining five years of famine. Pharaoh enthusiastically endorses the plan, and the brothers return to Canaan with wagons and provisions to bring Jacob and all his household to Egypt.
