Exodus 31 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Exodus Chapter 31 Summary

Bezalel of Judah and Oholiab of Dan are called and filled with the Spirit of God for skilled craftsmanship in constructing the tabernacle and all its furnishings. God reiterates the Sabbath as a sign of the covenant between Him and Israel throughout their generations, a perpetual reminder of creation's completion. Violation of the Sabbath warrants death, for it is holy to the Lord, and God gives Moses the two tablets of testimony, inscribed by the divine finger.
