Revelation 9 - Summary

The fifth trumpet releases locusts from the abyss with power to torment for five months those without God's seal—locusts resembling horses with human faces, women's hair, lions' teeth, iron breastplates, and scorpion tails, led by the angel Abaddon/Apollyon. The sixth trumpet releases four angels bound at the Euphrates, commanding a cavalry of 200 million with lion-headed horses breathing fire, smoke, and sulfur, killing a third of humanity. Despite these plagues, the surviving humanity does not repent of idolatry, murders, sorceries, sexual immorality, or thefts.
