Revelation 13 - Summary

A beast rises from the sea with ten horns, seven heads, blasphemous names, the appearance of a leopard, bear's feet, and lion's mouth, receiving the dragon's power and authority; one head seems mortally wounded but is healed, causing the world to worship both dragon and beast. The beast is given a mouth for arrogant blasphemies, authority for forty-two months, power to make war on the saints and conquer them, and dominion over every tribe, people, language, and nation. A second beast rises from the earth with two horns like a lamb but speaking like a dragon, performing great signs, making the earth worship the first beast's image, and requiring all to receive a mark—666, the number of a man—to buy or sell.
