I will also gather all nations. I will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put my case against them for my people, and for Israel, who belong to me. They scattered my people among the nations, and they divided up my land.
They have cast lots for my people. They have given a boy in payment for a prostitute, and sold a girl for wine, so that they could drink.
And what are you to me, Tyre and Zidon, and all the regions of Palestine? Are you paying me back for something? If you do pay me back, I will quickly and swiftly turn your payment onto your own head.
You have taken my silver and my gold. You have carried my fine and lovely treasures into your temples.
You have sold the people of Judah and the people of Jerusalem to the Greeks, so that you could take them far away from their own land.
Look, I will stir them up out of the place where you sold them, and I will turn your payment onto your own head.
I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a nation far away. The LORD has spoken it.
Announce this among the nations: Get ready for war. Wake up the strong men. Let all the fighting men come near; let them come up.
Beat your plough blades into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak one say, "I am strong."
Come quickly, all you nations, and gather yourselves together from every side. Send your mighty ones down there, LORD.
Let the nations be stirred up and come to the valley of Jehoshaphat. For there I will sit to judge all the nations around.
Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow. Their wickedness is great.
Crowds, great crowds in the valley of decision. For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
The sun and the moon will go dark, and the stars will stop shining.
The LORD will also roar out of Zion, and his voice will sound from Jerusalem. The heavens and the earth will shake. But the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the people of Israel.
So you will know that I am the LORD your God, living in Zion, my holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will be holy, and strangers will never pass through her again.
On that day the mountains will drip with new wine, and the hills will flow with milk. All the streams of Judah will run with water. A spring will come out of the house of the LORD, and it will water the valley of Shittim.
Egypt will become a waste, and Edom will become an empty desert, because of their violence against the people of Judah. For they spilled innocent blood in their land.
I will clear away their blood that I have not yet cleared away. For the LORD lives in Zion.
