Babylon's king Merodach-baladan sends envoys with letters and gifts to Hezekiah, who shows them all his treasures and armory. Isaiah asks what they saw and prophesies that everything will be carried to Babylon, including Hezekiah's descendants who will become eunuchs in the Babylonian palace. Hezekiah accepts the word, grateful that peace will remain in his days.
