Isaiah's vision during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah begins with God's indictment of Judah as a sinful nation, children who have rebelled against their Father, more senseless than the ox or donkey. Though their sacrifices and festivals disgust God, He calls them to reason together: though their sins are scarlet, they shall be white as snow if they obey.
