Ezekiel 17 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Ezekiel Chapter 17 Summary

Ezekiel presents a riddle of two eagles and a vine: the first eagle (Babylon) planted a seed (Zedekiah) that grew into a spreading vine, but the vine turned to another eagle (Egypt) for water. God declares judgment: the covenant-breaker will die in Babylon, but God Himself will plant a tender cedar twig on Israel's mountain.
