Read Exodus Chapter 35

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

Moses gathered all the community of the children of Israel together. He said to them, "These are the words the LORD has commanded you to do."

"Work shall be done for six days. But the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a sabbath of rest to the LORD. Anyone who does work on it shall be put to death."

"You shall light no fire in any of your homes on the sabbath day."

Moses spoke to all the community of the children of Israel. He said, "This is what the LORD has commanded:"

"Take from among you an offering for the LORD. Let everyone with a willing heart bring it, an offering to the LORD: gold, silver and brass,"

"blue, purple and scarlet cloth, fine linen and goats' hair,"

"rams' skins dyed red, badgers' skins and shittim wood,"

"oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,"

"onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate."

"Everyone among you who is wise in heart shall come and make all that the LORD has commanded:"

"the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its boards, its bars, its pillars and its sockets,"

"the ark and its poles, with the mercy seat and the veil that covers it,"

"the table and its poles and all its vessels, and the showbread,"

"the lampstand for the light with its equipment and its lamps, and the oil for the light,"

"the incense altar and its poles, the anointing oil and the sweet incense, and the curtain for the door at the entrance of the tabernacle,"

"the altar of burnt offering with its brass grating, its poles and all its vessels, the basin and its stand,"

"the curtains of the court, its pillars and their sockets, and the curtain for the door of the court,"

"the pegs of the tabernacle, the pegs of the court, and their cords,"

"the clothes for serving in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for serving as priests."

Then all the community of the children of Israel went away from Moses.

They came back, everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit made him willing. They brought the LORD's offering for the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

They came, both men and women, as many as were willing in heart. They brought bracelets, earrings, rings and ornaments, all kinds of gold jewels. Every man who gave brought an offering of gold to the LORD.

Every man who had blue, purple or scarlet cloth, or fine linen, or goats' hair, or red skins of rams, or badgers' skins, brought them.

Everyone who gave an offering of silver or brass brought the LORD's offering. And every man who had shittim wood for any part of the work brought it.

All the women who were wise in heart spun with their hands. They brought what they had spun, blue, purple and scarlet cloth, and fine linen.

All the women whose hearts stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.

The rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate,

and spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

The children of Israel brought a willing offering to the LORD. Every man and woman whose heart made them willing brought something for all the work that the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

Moses said to the children of Israel, "See, the LORD has called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah."

"He has filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge, and with skill in all kinds of work,"

"to plan skilful works, to work in gold, in silver and in brass,"

"in cutting stones to set them, and in carving wood, to make every kind of skilful work."

"And he has put it in his heart to teach, both him and Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan."

"He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do every kind of work: the work of the engraver, the skilled workman and the embroiderer, in blue, in purple, in scarlet and in fine linen, and the work of the weaver. They do every kind of work and plan skilful designs."
