2 Timothy 3 - Summary

Original Summary

Read 2 Timothy Chapter 3 Summary

Paul warns of difficult times in the last days when people will be lovers of self, money, pleasure rather than God, having a form of godliness while denying its power, from whom Timothy must turn away. He recalls Paul's teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, and persecutions at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra from which the Lord delivered him, affirming that all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted; Timothy must continue in Scripture (known from childhood) which is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.
