Read 2 Timothy Chapter 3

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

Know this also: in the last days dangerous times will come.

For people will love only themselves. They will love money. They will boast and be proud. They will speak against God. They will disobey their parents. They will be ungrateful and unholy.

They will have no natural love. They will break agreements. They will accuse others falsely. They will have no self-control. They will be cruel, and they will hate what is good.

They will betray others. They will act without thinking. They will be swollen with pride. They will love pleasure more than they love God.

They will keep an outward show of godliness, but they deny its power. Turn away from people like that.

Some of them creep into houses and take captive foolish women who are weighed down with sins and led along by many wrong desires.

Such women are always learning, but they are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth. Their minds are corrupt, and they fail the test concerning the faith.

But they will get no further, for their foolishness will be plain to everyone, as those men's foolishness was.

But you have known well my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience with others, my love, my endurance,

and the persecutions and sufferings that came to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra. You know what persecutions I endured, and how the Lord rescued me out of them all.

Indeed, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

But evil people and cheats will grow worse and worse. They will deceive others, and they will be deceived themselves.

But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and have been made sure of. You know who taught you them.

From childhood you have known the holy scriptures. They are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is breathed out by God. It is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and for training in righteousness,

so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
