2 Timothy 4 - Summary

Original Summary

Read 2 Timothy Chapter 4 Summary

Paul solemnly charges Timothy before God and Christ Jesus (who will judge living and dead at His appearing and kingdom) to preach the word in season and out, reproving, rebuking, exhorting with patience and teaching, for the time will come when hearers will accumulate teachers according to their desires and turn to myths. Paul announces his imminent departure, having fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith, with the crown of righteousness laid up for him; he requests Timothy to come quickly, reports on companions (Demas having forsaken him, only Luke remaining), and sends greetings with final benediction.
