1These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron. The firstborn was Amnon, whose mother was Ahinoam from Jezreel. The second was Daniel, whose mother was Abigail from Carmel.
2The third was Absalom, the son of Maachah, the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur. The fourth was Adonijah, the son of Haggith.
3The fifth was Shephatiah, whose mother was Abital. The sixth was Ithream, by his wife Eglah.
4These six were born to him in Hebron. There he ruled as king for seven years and six months. In Jerusalem he ruled for thirty-three years.
5These were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon, four of them, whose mother was Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel.
6There were also Ibhar, Elishama and Eliphelet,
7Nogah, Nepheg and Japhia,
8Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet, nine in all.
10Solomon's son was Rehoboam. His son was Abia, his son Asa, his son Jehoshaphat,
11his son Joram, his son Ahaziah, his son Joash,
12his son Amaziah, his son Azariah, his son Jotham,
14his son Amon, his son Josiah.
15The sons of Josiah were these: the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.
16The sons of Jehoiakim were Jeconiah his son and Zedekiah his son.
17The sons of Jeconiah were Assir, and Salathiel his son,
18and also Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah.
19The sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel were Meshullam and Hananiah, and Shelomith was their sister.
20There were also Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah and Jushabhesed, five in all.
21The sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jesaiah, with the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah and the sons of Shechaniah.
22The son of Shechaniah was Shemaiah. The sons of Shemaiah were Hattush, Igeal, Bariah, Neariah and Shaphat, six in all.
23The sons of Neariah were Elioenai, Hezekiah and Azrikam, three in all.
24The sons of Elioenai were Hodaiah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Dalaiah and Anani, seven in all.
