Revelation 4 - Summary

John is caught up through an open door in heaven, beholding a throne surrounded by twenty-four elders in white garments with golden crowns, from which proceed lightning, thunder, and voices, with seven burning torches representing the seven Spirits of God before it. Four living creatures full of eyes—with faces of lion, ox, man, and eagle—ceaselessly proclaim "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come," while the elders fall down to worship, casting their crowns before the throne. The heavenly court declares God worthy to receive glory, honor, and power as Creator of all things.
