Revelation 18 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Revelation Chapter 18 Summary

An angel with great authority illuminates the earth, crying mightily that Babylon has fallen, become a dwelling for demons and every unclean spirit, having made nations drunk with her immorality and merchants rich from her luxury. Another voice from heaven calls God's people to come out of her lest they share her sins and plagues; she is to be repaid double for her deeds. Kings, merchants, and shipmasters stand far off weeping at her destruction in a single hour, mourning the loss of trade in gold, silver, fine goods, and human lives; heaven, saints, apostles, and prophets rejoice, and a mighty angel casts a great millstone into the sea, declaring Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again.
