In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel.
In Salem also is his tent, and his dwelling place is in Zion.
There he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
The bold-hearted are plundered; they have slept their sleep. None of the mighty men can find their hands.
At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and the horse are thrown into a dead sleep.
You, even you, are to be feared. Who may stand before you once you are angry?
You made judgment be heard from heaven; the earth was afraid, and was still,
when God rose up to judge, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the rest of that wrath you will hold back.
Make your vows to the LORD your God, and keep them. Let all who are around him bring gifts to him who is to be feared.
He cuts off the spirit of princes. He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
