Blessed be the LORD my strength, who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
He is my goodness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield, and the one I trust in. He brings my people under me.
LORD, what is man, that you take notice of him? What is the son of man, that you think of him?
Man is like a breath. His days are like a shadow that passes away.
Bow your heavens, O LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.
Send out lightning, and scatter them. Shoot out your arrows, and destroy them.
Send your hand from above. Rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strangers' children.
Their mouth speaks emptiness, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
I will sing a new song to you, O God. On a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings I will sing praises to you.
It is he who gives salvation to kings, who delivers David his servant from the hurtful sword.
Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of strangers' children. Their mouth speaks emptiness, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
Then our sons will be like plants grown tall in their youth, and our daughters like corner stones, carved as for a palace.
Our storehouses will be full, supplying every kind of store. Our sheep will bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets.
Our oxen will be strong to labour. There will be no breaking in, and no going out, and no crying of trouble in our streets.
Happy are the people in such a state. Yes, happy are the people whose God is the LORD.
