Read Psalms Chapter 145

A psalm of praise by David.

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

I will lift you high, my God, O king. I will bless your name for ever and ever.

Every day I will bless you. I will praise your name for ever and ever.

Great is the LORD, and worthy of great praise. No one can search out his greatness.

One generation will praise your works to the next, and will tell of your mighty acts.

I will speak of the glorious honour of your majesty, and of your wonderful works.

People will speak of the might of your terrible acts, and I will tell how great you are.

They will pour out the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.

The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to get angry, and rich in mercy.

The LORD is good to all. His tender mercies are over all that he has made.

All your works will praise you, O LORD, and your saints will bless you.

They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power,

to make his mighty acts known to people everywhere, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Your kingdom is a kingdom that lasts for ever, and your rule goes on through all generations.

The LORD holds up all who fall, and lifts up all who are bowed down.

The eyes of all wait for you, and you give them their food at the right time.

You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of those who fear him. He will also hear their cry, and will save them.

The LORD keeps safe all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD. Let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
