Wisdom is to be kept as the apple of your eye; bind her on your fingers and write her on your heart. At the window, the teacher observes a young man lacking sense who at twilight approaches the corner where the forbidden woman dressed as a harlot waits. She seizes him, kisses him boldly, and lures him with perfumed bed and absent husband. He follows her like an ox to slaughter, not knowing it will cost his life. Many have fallen to her; her house is the way to Sheol.
