Proverbs 6 - Summary

Warnings follow about dangerous pledges for a neighbor's debts, laziness (consider the ant's industriousness), worthless persons marked by crooked speech and constant scheming, and seven things the LORD hates: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run to evil, a false witness, and one who sows discord among brothers. The adulteress is especially dangerous: can a man carry fire in his bosom without burning his clothes? He who commits adultery lacks sense and destroys himself; her husband's jealousy will accept no ransom.
