A false balance is an abomination to the LORD; a just weight is His delight. When pride comes, disgrace comes; with the humble is wisdom. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of the blameless makes their way straight; the wicked fall by their own wickedness. A gracious woman gets honor; ruthless men get riches. Whoever brings ruin on his house will inherit wind; the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise.
