Isaiah 59 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Isaiah Chapter 59 Summary

God's hand is not too short to save, but Israel's sins have hidden His face. Their hands are defiled with blood, feet swift to evil, thoughts of violence. Justice is far from them; truth has fallen in the street. God saw no intercessor and wondered, so His own arm brought salvation. He put on righteousness and vengeance. The Redeemer comes to Zion; God's Spirit and words shall not depart from their descendants.

The Longest Prophetic Book

Isaiah contains 66 chapters, making it the longest of the prophetic books. Often called 'the fifth Gospel,' it includes more messianic prophecies than any other Old Testament book, vividly describing Christ's suffering in chapter 53 some 700 years before His birth.
