God catalogs Jerusalem's sins—bloodshed, idol worship, adultery, bribery, oppression of the poor, and violation of the sabbath—calling the city bloody and defiled. Princes, priests, prophets, and people have all corrupted themselves; God sought a man to stand in the gap but found none, so He pours out His indignation upon them.
