2 Peter 2 - Summary

Original Summary

Read 2 Peter Chapter 2 Summary

False prophets arose among Israel, and false teachers will arise introducing destructive heresies, denying the Lord who bought them, leading many astray while making merchandise of the gullible. God spared not sinning angels but cast them to Tartarus, spared not the old world but preserved Noah when bringing the flood, turned Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes as an example while delivering righteous Lot who was vexed daily. These false teachers walk after fleshly lusts, despise authority, speak evil of dignitaries, are natural brute beasts made for destruction, have eyes full of adultery, beguile unstable souls, follow Balaam's error for wages—wells without water, clouds carried by tempest, for whom blackest darkness is reserved.
