Give the king your judgments, O God, and your righteousness to the king's son.
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
The mountains will bring peace to the people, and the little hills will bring it by righteousness.
He will judge the poor among the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.
They will fear you as long as the sun and moon last, through all generations.
He will come down like rain on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth.
In his days the righteous will flourish, and there will be plenty of peace as long as the moon lasts.
He will rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.
Those who live in the wilderness will bow before him, and his enemies will lick the dust.
The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring presents. The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts.
Yes, all kings will fall down before him. All nations will serve him.
For he will rescue the needy when they cry out, and the poor, and the one who has no helper.
He will have pity on the poor and needy, and will save the lives of the needy.
He will redeem their life from deceit and violence, and their blood will be precious in his sight.
He will live, and the gold of Sheba will be given to him. Prayer will be made for him all the time, and every day he will be praised.
There will be a handful of grain in the earth on the tops of the mountains. Its fruit will wave like Lebanon, and the people of the city will flourish like grass of the earth.
His name will last for ever. His name will continue as long as the sun. People will be blessed in him, and all nations will call him blessed.
Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things.
And blessed be his glorious name for ever. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.
The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
